car1.gif - 13.05 KAnswer: Unless you are able to properly bore the hub hole and fit the joints properly, all the while keeping the wood at a low moisture content, the wheel will not hold up. For steel felloe wheels they must be pressed together first and have the hub hole bored last for a press fit. You just can't press them together and expect the hub hole to be centered.

I hear this all the time from people that have bought spokes for their model T Ford. "They just run a little bumpy.", they say

Another problem is that I have to make the spokes required for my own use. Usually, I have only enough time to make them and little else.
